Part I: Poem Analysis in a Musical Setting The poem, Ã¢â¬Å"Dear March, Come In!Ã¢â¬ is a cheerful song, one in which the author expresses joy and happiness in the arrival of the month of March. In the poem, the speaker, while expressing his joy to the arrival of March, uses different expressions and words to explain his feelings. In a musical setting, I would use the through-composed form of music in order to express these feelings of the speaker. Since through-composed form contains different music for every stanza, and the poem has different ideas and mixed feelings in the various stanzas, then, t his would be the best way to go about the song. In a musical setting, using the correct singers, combined with the right instruments is the best way of creating the best record song. In a musical setting, due to the high range of the poem, I would use singers with a high range of voice, signifying the mood of the song, which is cheerful. As the song starts, I would use baritone, which is the voice falling between tenor and bass. Coupling this with tenor, which is the highest male voice, I would get a good combination expressing the speakerÃ¢â¬â¢s feelings in the song. The entire sing would then have a rich tenor. However, there would be the harmony in the singerÃ¢â¬â¢s voices in the last stanza. These, combined with the piano, a saxophone and a violin would blend well enough to make a great piece. While creating a musical setting of the poem, I would use a number of musical elements in order to get the right combination and come up with a great piece. Texture in a song, often re garded as the density, thickness, range, or width between the lowest and the highest pitches, determines the relationship between the various voices in a particular song (Stein 64). A song texture comprises of the monophony, homophony or polyphony. While monophony describes a clear text setting, polyphony describes a less clear setting. Since the poem, Ã¢â¬Å"Dear March, Come In!Ã¢â¬ has a clear text setting, I would use monophony in the first and second stanzas, but later switch briefly to homophony at the beginning of the third stanza to the line, Ã¢â¬Å"As soon as you have comeÃ¢â¬ , but pick up homophony from the line, Ã¢â¬Å"That blame is just as dear as praise.Ã¢â¬ Tone in a song describes the system or the language of music, describing the hierarchical relationship between the pitch, based on the key centre. A. Background of the Study Being a third world country, the Philippines should be able to find ways which are economical and environment Ã¢â¬â friendly through means of agricultural marketing to increase the nationÃ¢â¬â¢s income. Poultry is one of the main products being marketed since this is one of the main sources of protein aside from fish. The native chickens are also the most being raised in poultry farms for they take the least time to hatch eggs (21 days). The native hen lays eggs day after day until no eggs remain within her and start to incubate them on the last day of laying. This is not included in the 21 day incubation process meaning it will take a longer time before the eggs will be able to hatch. In hatching chicken eggs, there are certain factors that affect the development of the embryo such as the handling, the room temperature, the incubator temperature, the humidity and the ventilation. To save more time and energy, we would use improvised incubators wherein all the eggs being laid on the same day would be incubated immediately. Incubators are apparatuses in which environmental conditions, such as temperature and humidity, can be controlled, and often used for growing bacterial cultures, hatching eggs artificially. In this case, we would use wooden boxes as incubators since wood is a natural insulator that traps the heat inside because of its .B. Statement of the Problem In the Philippines, we mainly use poultry as a source of food which is rich in protein. The hens lay eggs in a successive pattern wherein they are laid day after day. And the hens will not incubate the egg until the said pattern of laying eggs is done. In other cases, there are no other broody hens at the same time thus, taking more time before starting incubation. To speed up the incubation process, the eggs laid on a certain day will be gathered into a hatching box and will be hatched from another source of heat which is required for the incubation processs.The resea rchers found out that decomposing leaves that were rich in nitrogen content, crude fiber and crude protein, release a great amount of heat which is also applicable in the angiogenesis of chicken embryo. The major problem is determining if ipil Ã¢â¬â ipil leaves (Leucaenaleucocephala) can be an effective regulator as kakawate leaves(Gliricidiasepium) are in the angiogenesis of chicken embryo after conducting the comparative study.C. Significance of the Study The significance of this study is to gather data on the effectiveness of both leaves for angiogenesis. Knowing which leaves are effective will lead to application throughout the nation and so, causing more reproduction of chicks, which are then used to reproduce into greater numbers in a shorter span of time which will help the country's economy since these poultry are in demand.D. Scope and Limitations The study covers the effectiveness of both leaves for angiogenesis of chicken embryo. The researchers will also study which l eaves can simulate faster angiogenesis for chicken embryo by taking the weights of each egg in each cubicle before and after putting it in the hatching box and by taking the air temperature of the box with the tip of the thermometer bulb just below the tip top of the eggs. The researchers limited this research to the angiogenesis of chicken embryo only, which means from the newly laid eggs up to 5 days.E. From the Latin word Ã¢â¬Å"duoÃ¢â¬ , or two, dualism seeks to explain the relationship between the mind and body. Put simply, it purports that mind and body are categorically distinct and separate from each other and, thus, can not be reduced to each other in any way. In order to understand this theory better, we take into account all the external stimuli received by our sensory organs that bring about changes in our mental state. As a result, our body starts to feel sensation/s. Note that whenever our bodies feel sensation, be it pleasant or unpleasant, it drives it to move or act in a certain way. For instance, we crave for fried chicken and suddenly smell the aroma of fried chicken wafting through the air, and hear the cracklings of chicken being fried. Suppose, this dish is served to you, your body then starts to move towards the dish and start eating. It appears therefore, that there is interaction between mind and body in such a way that physical events cause mental events and mental events cause physical events. In the case of Captain Picard, regardless of the fact that his body and brains were just Ã¢â¬Å"exact replicasÃ¢â¬ of his previous self, his mind and body are still considered as two distinct and separate entities. His body or physical state will function in a way that may interact with hid mind but will still remain its distinction as separate entities. The communities in schools also do not have a direct focus on a particular school going children. Community organizations mostly have the non-for profit system in terms of their finances. Similarly, the habitat for humanity, community in schools and the united African organization share the same system. The united African organization accepts donations and sponsorships to help the needy African American community. In terms of their workforce, they use volunteers from the local communities. In this sense, they provide jobs for the locals. This is a similar strategy applied by communities in schools. They focus on volunteers and community partners. This helps them become very cost effective.
